Year: 2004

PFR disappears from disappearance once more in '04 with probably my least favorite release to date. Most of this record is a bunch of retro sounding remakes. The recordings themselves aren't bad and I do enjoy a couple of them but honestly, it doesn't match the charisma of the originals. Honestly, it's the vocals (or lack thereof) on certian parts that you would expect to hear it on certain parts of songs but they were ommited. I'm not sure what they were going for but if they were going for some lazy retro college rock radio music, they pulled it off. Highlights of the album are the 3 new songs. Home and In the Middle are instant classics. They don't rock too hard but they have very singable choruses. I would be happy if PFR released an entire album of this style. Prayer for Beslan is weird and takes a bit of time to get used to but once you do, it's a fun song.
