MAY 8, 2025:

Wow, it has been over 20 years since I've updated this site. I decided to start my own web server and host my own sites instead of paying for a hosting provider, and what do I see around the same time? PFR has been back together since 2022 and are releasing a new album! As we speak, they are recording their first album in over 20 years called "Target and the Arrow"---or at least, that's what their instagram post says. When I heard that one of the members of the band was no longer on the same page as the other 2 (at least, that's what I remember), I thought PFR was going to disappear for real. How I am glad I was wrong! Since they are now officially back and recording a new album, how apropos that this site is back as well! Stay tuned for more updates!

2 AWESOME NEWS ALERTS:

PATRICK ANDREW NOW HAS A NEW CD! CHECK IT OUT!

This CD is just plain awesome. Just when I thought that this would be just another watered-down CCM pop disc, I heard some awesome original material with very thought provoking lyrics. The music can be progressive, soft, and even rockin'. But the thing that caught me were the soft but powerful vocals of Patrick Andrew. One of the best songs on the CD is probably Wax Girl. The lyrics are subtle yet it's very effective and I like the message it portrays. Blow My Mind is a progressive hard rockin' number that has a great chorus. Closest Friend is another one that gets stuck in my head. The way Patrick sings, "Ohh, ooh" is awesome. The lyrics of the chorus are also something that a Christian should dwell on: "I come believing that my prayers are answered by my closest friend. A yeah, yeah, yeah!" Great to sing along with. There are a lot of private moments on here, as 3 songs on here are about his family. The humbleness of Patrick is very evident on Goodbye. It's a ballad about his little girl that died on him after birth, and yet he still seems to have peace about it and he knows he'll see her again.  Olivia's Song has a really catchy acoustic part. I believe it's a song about his daughter. Everett's Song is an encouraging acoustic tune for what seems to be his son. "You're innocence is vanquished once you've become a man." Sad but true. I'm not quite sure what Separation is, but it has a dark eerie sound with the beautiful voice of a woman. One definite mention is the title track is There and Then It's Gone; extremely catchy and true. Just Begun- I like the reference to Amsterdam of the PFR CD "Disappear" and it seems like the lyrics are like a sequel to it- very interesting progressive song where Patrick does something cool with his voice on the chorus. :) This is definitely an album to get if you like PfR's stuff, or like progressive/alternative music with a great message.
